 Survey: Works on Paper 1987-2022

C.A.M. Gallery is pleased to present a survey exhibition of works on paper dating between 1987 and 2022 by Istanbul born, New York based visual artist Peter Hristoff. The exhibition will include works in the various mediums the artist is engaged with—drawing, printmaking and paintings on paper—dealing with global issues, identity and spirituality. Early works from the late 1980’s and 1990’s about the devastation of The AIDS crisis, works about the on-going political

situation in the Near and Middle East and prints and drawings inspired by research done in museums in both the US and Turkey will hang alongside pieces done in isolation during the Pandemic.

Hristoff will be concurrently exhibiting at Yapi Kredi Cultural Center, Istanbul in “Memento Istanbul”, an exhibition of the archives of his family.

His works are in numerous public and private collections both NYC and Istanbul, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art (where he was artist-in-residence in 2015-16), MoMA, Ball State University, American Express, The Moscow Museum of Modern Art and Yapi Kredi Cultural Center.

The gallery is also pleased to announce that the artist was selected to create the 2022 poster for The School of Visual Arts, New York.

‘Yol’ can be seen until June 30th at C.A.M. Gallery.
