Natur Mort
08.02 - 09.03.2025
Nature is a masterpiece. Its destruction is not only a physical devastation but also a descent into darkness for the human soul and consciousness.
The Natur Mort exhibition was created to reveal the destructive impact of modern humanity on nature through art.
Burned forests, dried lakes, polluted seas, and destroyed habitats have become faded remnants of a world once filled with life. These works come together to amplify nature’s silent cries, bear witness to its dying beauty, and call for transformation.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors will experience not only a visual journey but also an emotional one, urging them to confront their conscience. We extend an invitation to understand the message nature whispers in its own language:
It is not too late to appreciate life, protect it, and restore it.
William Wordsworth’s lines perfectly capture the exhibition’s spirit:
“Nature never betrays the heart that loves her.
It is only we who turn our backs on her.
But if we listen to her melodies,
She will reconnect us to our own song.”
Natur Mort calls on humanity to become a generation that contributes to the rebirth of nature, rather than merely witness its demise.
The exhibition, featuring works by Ahmet Elhan, Ayşegül Dalokay, Murat Durusoy, Mahmut Celayir, and Mehmet Kısmet, will be on view from February 8th to March 9th at C.A.M. Gallery / Çukurcuma.
