Under The Same Sky

10.01.-01.03.2026

Human beings are not independent of the environments in which they live; on the contrary, an individual’s way of thinking, social relationships, and sense of conscience are shaped directly by the physical and cultural surroundings they engage with. The ecological crisis we are witnessing today reveals a profound rupture not only in nature, but in humanity itself. Modern societies built upon industrialization, speed, and consumption have irreversibly damaged ecological balance by positioning nature as an unlimited resource and animals as invisible beings.

The destruction of forests, the shrinking of habitats, and the systematic eradication of species are not merely environmental disasters, but ethical collapses as well. The stripping away of animals’ right to life stands among the most painful consequences of humanity’s desire to dominate nature.

“Under the Same Sky” seeks to make visible how the ancient bond between humans and nature has been severed, the effects of this rupture on individuals and society, and the silent devastation it has produced. The artworks presented in the exhibition serve as acts of witnessing, questioning the destruction caused by consumer culture, the disruption of ecological balance, and the injustices generated by an anthropocentric worldview. Through their artworks, the artists invite viewers not only to look, but to think, to take responsibility, and to reconnect.

To remember that we are part of nature, to defend a shared life with animals and all living beings, and to reimagine the future… Because every act of violence directed at nature ultimately turns back upon humanity itself.
