Neslihan Başer

Faces of Memoirs

September 23 - October 19, 2014

Neslihan Başer, in her first solo show “Faces of Memoirs”, paints the ‘untold’ stories through her portraits formed within the Anatolian motifs, which stand as the symbols of recollections.

The artist’s internal journey develops into a question of identity and goes deep into one’s soul.

As she embroides in her works, Baser is influenced by the marks left from her own memoirs. The rich motifs visible through the works sybolize one’s genuine and naive soul; these motifs form the works as the contents of the artist’s soul and being.

In her personal artistic journey, the artist aims to touch others’ emotional worlds through the portraits she creates.
